I looked at this house for the first time in early September 2005. I was concerned about the bridge being too close, so I continued looking at other homes on the lake. I looked at homes that were 15 to 25 miles from town, and I looked at homes that had terrible lots, and I looked at homes that were way over priced. The more I looked the more the real assets of this home began to pull me back again for another visit. This time was the last. I bought the home.
This house is built like a fortress, 2X6 exterior walls, and the terrace level is all 2X6 interior walls. It has a concrete panic room in the mechanical room. My electric bill for the above average June was $163.00
In the Summer this is like a tree house, with still some nice views of the lake. In the Winter the lake views are incredible. I can see water all around me. If good water is important to you, this lot is the best of any you will find on the lake. With the lake down 20 feet, my dock was setting in 17 feet of water.
This house is absolutely awesome. It is the best home I have ever owned. I like everything about its beauty, convenience, and accessibility to a 38,000 acre paradise of fishing and water sports. All of this located only 2 miles from Gainesville.
I am moving to a much smaller home in Florida to be near my two sons and new Granddaughter. I would sell the home furnished if someone would want it as is.
Thanks,
Mike South
